Sam got up at the crack of dawn, 4:50am to head over to the airport for his 7am flight home. Despite being early, Marie was still up before him which is true everyday. She remains an early riser even in retirement! As Sam was getting on the plane to head east, Elizabeth was in Boston getting on a plane heading west. We almost found ourselves in a terrible position when arriving at the airport to pick her up. To get to arrivals, you go through the parking garage. As we approached the entrance and were about 7 feet out, we realized that there was a height restriction of 8 feet 2 inches and the truck cap is 8 feet 9 inches high. Thankfully, we caught sight of the sign just in time and Marie had to bravely back into the airport loop traffic. Once back on the roadway, we both wiped our brows of sweat, texted to re-route Elizabeth and looped around the airport to find another way in. (turns out the airline re-routed Elizabeth"s luggage at the last minute but it was in the airport so all ended well with that) We were thrilled to see her walk up to the truck, jump in and get out of Dodge, I mean, Dallas-Fort Worth and head back to Gainsville to our hotel for the night.
