Today was the best day so far! Riding today was what I had imagined biking across the US would be like - beautiful country roads, a little traffic but not too much (although still had logging trucks), and lots of nice scenery. We traveled 37 miles and could have gone further. We started seeing some gradual hills but overall it was easier riding. I attached a picture of several donkeys and horses. We took the picture as we were surprised to see that there was a zdonk among them. It is the brown donkey towards the right of the picture. You can see the stripes on his back legs. We saw lots of Martins houses in peoples yards. We are guessing they are good at eating mosquitoes as there is lots of standing water. We also started seeing more farm land. There were several cotton fields that had been harvested so we picked up some dropped/missed cotton. We are staying in a beautiful bed and breakfast tonight and tomorrow night in Sylvania, GA. The hosts, Cathy and Bob, are lovely and the B&B was built by Cathy's great-grandfather. Lots of history in the area.
