Rest Day!

We stayed in Monroe LA last night in anticipation of dropping Dale off at Monroe Regional airport this afternoon to fly home. Dale was great to ride with and always up for an adventure. We did more sightseeing these two weeks as he always found something for us to check out. After a relaxing morning, including some cards, Marie suggested we go to a park and have a picnic lunch. Dale found Restoration Park in West Monroe. It was a wonderful trail around two ponds. We saw lots of turtles and a couple of egrets.

We were sad to see Dale off at the airport. I miss being away from him for so long. Fortunately he is back in 3.5 weeks. However, we were thrilled to see Sam arrive this afternoon and he will be with us for a week. This trip was inspired by two previous trips across country on this route that he has taken and I am looking forward to sharing part of this trip with him.
