Hard to believe - we have completed two weeks of the bike ride! Sunday is our planned day off and we stayed in Birmingham so we could make the first exchange of riding partners. The day was rainy and cold and we were grateful that it was not a riding day. We have had great weather and only two short periods of light rain until today. It was a bittersweet day as we dropped Madeleine off at the airport and picked up Dale. Madeleine was an amazing riding partner, biking coach, card player, conversationalist and friend. Marie and I will miss her and look forward to her coming back for the last two weeks of the trip. I am always happy to see Dale. I have really missed him and it was great to see his enthusiastic self at the airport. He will bring a different energy to the next weeks and I know that Marie and I will enjoy having him with us.
