A nice day of riding with minimal wind. We started out on a busy 4 lane highway that had a decent shoulder. As we continued out of town, the road eventually became two lane but with minimal shoulder but fortunately the traffic lessened. After 18 miles, we turned on to a two lane road that had rolling hills which I managed but for one monster hill which found me walking up. Although Madeleine was able to make it up the hill, she also said it was a monster hill. There were some beautiful fields full of beef cows but we were often on a hill so did not stop for pictures. Hope you can imagine it. After 30 miles, we met Marie for a lovely lunch in the empty parking lot of a Baptist Church. It was 75 degrees and lovely out. Then we got back on our bikes for the last leg of biking for the day and went to our hotel. We sat around the pool and relaxed in the lounge chairs and warm weather.

Hard to believe that we have ridden about 275 miles and in two days we will be in our third state. I am taking it day by day but excited to know that we are truly making forward progress. I am so grateful that Madeleine and Marie have joined me for this adventure!
